This morning i visited this company in North Carolina and received a sample of their non food grade plastic pellets used in manufacturing but i discovered that they helped with an art project out west where their other plant is located. Very interesting how they produce their food grade recycled plastics. They are the only company in the U.S. to produce this type of recycled plastic product. Now i travel to Greensboro NC.

While travling to NH for a delivery pickup with OISK trucking I had no real direction of where to go with my art mission. I just let this unscene spirit tell me when and where to look. I turned my head to the right at the right time to see a sign for an arts district just a few exits before the exit where i would need to be dropped off. This time it was in Worchester Massachusetts. With lightning speed I surfed the web and what was happening in that area. There it was, the AHA moment when i saw the description for the Child Warrior exhibition at the Worchester Art Museum. Three exits later i was dropped off on the side of the highway at the closest exit to the museum. Armed with my easil, canvas, backpack with computer, Ugandan Flag and literarure, another fabric grocery bag flung over my other shoulder with artified gasmask and other props i was off determined to see the show and discover what else this city had to offer. Once off the highway I immediately tuned into the fact that every street sign featured a red heart on them. I found the museum but saw i had just over two hours before their doors opened. So i went hiking into town weighted down by all of my stuff. The first thing i discovered was an amazing church that is sitting empty. I was at the back of the church when i saw a sign that said "Home of M.E. Dream Center" or something close to that. I had to learn more because...well...I have a dream! I discovered a most amazing piece of architecture wasting away. I stood there dreaming of being there, working from this location as the 1st U.S. Arts Ambassador with a full supporting staff. As you can see in the photo below, I soon came to discover in city hall that the heart symbol for love was cherished. The below photo is of the entry way floor to city hall. The heart was everywhere. So you could say that this journey to Massachusetts began with love. From the empty church once filled with praise, and worship to the symbolism of God's love was ever present even though it wasnt a cross. The next sign from God to me following this love symbol was also made in city hall. In a showcase just beyond the entryway was the all too common smiley face, actually lots of them. Worchester was where smiley had been invented. Here i was unarmed with the Smiles for Miles sign i have carried for so many miles, in the town where once resided an artist that designed smiley. America is home to much symbolism and it comes in a variety of artistic styles. Today and every day we are blessed by God. He wants us to rely on him. He will do whatever he needs to connect with us. He may have a job, a task for each of us but ultimately it is imparative that we recognize him, his handiwork and offer him our praise, thanksgiving and worship. And to be ready to serve him even if his calling is beyond our comfort zone. Next, after hiking around town trying to locate art galleries that were non existant in the historical district i Next to the war memorial was a very interesting building that once was used as a technical school. It looked to be part of the monument but was not it was just another great piece of architectural history wasting away. After spending some time at this World War monument i found my way back to the museum. The first exhibit to impress me was a series of beautiful mosaics from a couple excavated buildings in Antioch. I then quickly made a b-line to the 4th floor to see more modern contemporary art then i would let gravity help me through the museum. I saw so many great masterpieces from America and Europe. The Samari exhibit was fun and mysterious. It featured both anchant samari artifacts and modern day art inspired by the samari history. I then made it to the last exhibits on my agenda. In order to get to the Child Soldiers one has to meander through the Knights Exhibition. But it was in the Knights exhibit where one could see amazing weaponry and armor. The symbolism of being led through this amazing exhibition in order to reach the Child Warriors was to me a sign of exhibitions and curatorial genius. Thanks to God and Oleg, the owner of the truck shown below my message and art is traveling the highways, byways and other smaller roads. The message is clear "Pay The Arts Forward - Support the vision of artist David F. Heatwole" Making Art Make A Difference. After installing the art I started traveling with my friend up and down the east coast. The purpose is to meet the American people one individual, one art gallery and whatever way God puts before me. Armed with props for photo opportunities I am weighed down to the max. Being dropped off at truck stops and having to find ways to hike into the cities is a challenge so I am reaching out to my facebook friends first to ask if they know anyone in the regions where I will be to help me and to lend me their ears. I can only pray that people will rise to the occasion and be able to hear my message.
I was in New York yesterday, primarily Buffalo but my trip started off with a photo opp at Enjoy the Journey Art Gallery. I picked this small somewhat out of the way gallery because of the symbolism of the name. WAY TO GO TO THE OWNER! Unfortunately, yesterday was Monday and well galleries usually don't operate on Mondays. Oh well. Then I had an adventure getting into the heart of Buffalo with a song (Buffalo soldier) on my lips, a skip to my step and probably even a swagger to my hips (my back and shoulder were hurting so bad because of all I was carrying. "Keep it simple stupid" - yeah I wish! Anyway, last night we rolled into MD and I picked up a car and ran home for a few hours and shared stories with my 5 children and then actually had lunch with my beautiful wife while Oleg made his delivery to PA. He is swinging by in a little while and away we go to Richmond! A great city!!! See ya! If you know anyone that might be interested in hearing what I have to share have them give me a call at 304)283-1902 I am my own marketing manager, secretary and all for on this campaign so I will try to respond to their call (or yours if you like!) at 304)283-1902. CHEERS!Olegs I met Arthur Page a week ago and WOWZERS what a meeting it was.

717-387-5201 I am showing a collection of my 3D art and the art from my Points of Perception series through December but on display now! Hope to see you at the opening Opening December 6th 4 - 6pm A Great 45th birthday on Capitol Hill!Starting to make my mark and share the TACNET dream (Read about TACNET under the National Vision) and the possibilities of having it powered by STEAM. Adrian gave Heatwole more information on where to find help and asked if he might be interested in presenting his story to the STEM to STEAM CAUCUS. Heatwole's response was "absolutely!" Yesterday the priest at the church that I attend asked me to share a little bit about what I want to talk about as a guest speaker in a coming month. We have guest speakers on the 5th Sundays of each month. So I shared a little bit about my lecture on "Art, Creativity and the Power of the Imagination" that I give to schools and then shared how I am trying to get to Uganda with a team of artists and about this strange meeting with Iraqi arts directors back in 2007 and how I might be able to help facilitate in some way the hunt for some of the Iraqi art treasure that was looted when the U.S. was occupying Iraq. Afterwards a lady asked me if I had heard about the book "Thieves of Baghdad" and she proceeded to tell me a little of what the book is about. My head was swimming then and even more this morning. I found the book on Amazon and ordered a copy of it and the audio CD since i spend more time in the car than time able to read. What I found very interesting and am now even more focused on this "mission" is why is this all happening in 2014. Why so many years after I was asked if I might be able to find a publisher who could publish a book featuring photos that a professor has of their museum treasure that had disappeared did i come back in touch with someone that published the book monument men? Why is this book "Thieves of Baghdad" now a best seller the same time that I finally might be able to help them regain their culture? Didn't this marine find all the art? Did he miss something? Does God want this unknown, nonwealthy, artist to help find a missing treasure with the help of this Marine/Author and the Director of Monument Men Foundation? Questions that lead me to say HMMMM. A few minutes ago my neighbor came over and asked me more about what this campaign to be the 1st U.S. Arts Ambassador was all about. I didn't get into it all I just got into the Iraq story because interestingly enough, he was in Iraq when I met these three people from Iraq and he was aware of my desire to possibly do something over there because I asked him about the logistics of getting supplies through the U.S. military in the green zone to my contact at the Arts Center. As i was telling him about what was happening we had a good chuckle because I was wearing the really nice overcoat he gave me back then that was too big for him. Anyway, he told me about how he was approached by an U.S. soldier who tried selling him a painting of a man pushing a shopping cart while a stormy sky was above him and the man had no flesh only the clothes of the man. Like he had lost everything. Maybe his flesh disappeared during the rapture or he was a ghost eternally stuck in reality pushing a cart trying to find things that don't exist. I am going to paint my version of this painting next. My friend and neighbor said that a lot of american's bought art treasures that might have been looted.

I am very thankful to Jim Mayes of the Warehouse Art Gallery for being the 5th person to purchase one of my Million dollar "Reality Checks." Jim has been a great supporter of the arts by opening the Warehouse Arts Gallery in Luray, VA and keeping it going all these years. I am happy to be able to share that I curated a show of a handful of artists early in the Warehouse's history. Back then it was known as the Warehouse Arts Center. Today it certainly is a center for the arts with great musical performances, classes, amazing fine art throughout. If you have not been to the Warehouse Art Gallery I highly recommend it to anyone interested in finding a unique painting, piece of sculpture or anything in between. This place makes me want to move to Luray!!! Thank you Jim for your support of This Artist's Dream!!! Your Million Dollar check will get to you shortly.
